What is the difference between Isolate and Full Spectrum CBD?

The terms “Isolate” and “Full Spectrum” refer to the type of CBD extract in a particular product. The main difference lies in the composition of cannabinoids and other compounds present in these extracts:

  1. Full Spectrum CBD: Full Spectrum CBD contains all the phytochemicals naturally found in the cannabis plant. This includes CBD, trace cannabinoids, terpenes, and essential oils. It also contains a small amount of THC, though typically not enough to produce psychoactive effects. The combination of these components creates what’s known as the “entourage effect”, where the compounds work together synergistically to enhance the overall therapeutic effects of the plant.
  2. CBD Isolate: CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD, as it’s isolated from all other compounds of the hemp plant. This form is produced by removing all other ingredients, including terpenes, flavonoids, plant parts, and other cannabinoids, including THC. Therefore, CBD isolate is considered the best option for those who want to avoid any trace of THC in their product.
